TERMS OF SERVICE

These terms govern your use of this website. They are separate from any services agreement, business associate agreement or statement of work between Oremote and a client practice.

Last updated:

Welcome to https://oremote.co. This website is operated by Oremote Billing Solutions(“Oremote”, “we”, “us”), a medical billing and revenue cycle management company serving healthcare providers in the United States. By browsing this site, submitting a form or otherwise using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What these terms cover — and what they do not

These terms apply to the website only: the pages, copy, graphics, downloads and forms published here. They do not create, replace or amend any services agreement, Business Associate Agreement, statement of work, pricing schedule or other contract between Oremote and a client practice. Where a signed agreement exists and conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement controls for the services it covers.

Using this website

You may read, print and share this site’s pages for your own evaluation of our services. You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or any connected system or account.
  • Interfere with the site’s operation — including introducing malware, overloading the contact form, or circumventing rate limits and other security measures.
  • Scrape, harvest or systematically extract content for the purpose of building a competing service, or use automated tools in a way that degrades the site for other visitors.
  • Misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with a practice or organization.

Intellectual property

The content on this site — including copy, page structure, graphics, illustrations, the Oremote name and logo, and the articles in our resource library, blog and guides — is owned by Oremote or used with permission, and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Nothing on this site grants you a license to use our trademarks or brand assets.

You may quote short excerpts from our articles with attribution and a link back to the original page. Republishing an article in full, or reusing our content as your own marketing material, requires our written permission.

No medical, legal, financial or compliance advice

The content on this site is general information, not professional advice. Our articles about denial rates, days in A/R, coding, payer rules and HIPAA describe common industry practice at the time of writing. They are not medical advice, legal advice, accounting or tax advice, coding or reimbursement advice for a specific claim, or a compliance opinion for your organization.

Payer policies, coding guidelines and regulations change, and they vary by state, plan and contract. Before acting on anything you read here, confirm it against your own payer contracts and consult a qualified professional. Decisions about coding, billing and compliance in your practice remain yours.

Using this site does not create a client relationship

Reading these pages, downloading a guide, or sending us a message through the consultation request form does not make you a client of Oremote and does not obligate either of us to anything. A client relationship begins only when both parties sign a written services agreement, together with a Business Associate Agreement where protected health information is involved. The stages between first contact and going live are described on our onboarding process page.

Information you send us

Please do not send protected health information, patient records, screenshots of a practice management system, credentials, or any other confidential material through this website or by unencrypted email. The form is for business inquiries only.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, any feedback, suggestions or ideas you send us about our services or website may be used by us without restriction or compensation. How we handle what you do send is described in our privacy policy.

Third-party links and resources

This site links to payer portals, government sources, standards bodies and other third-party materials. Those links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. We do not control third-party sites, do not verify their content, and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or their terms and privacy practices. Follow them at your own risk.

Availability and changes to the site

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of this site at any time, including articles and resources, without notice. We do not guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted or error-free, or that content is complete and current at the moment you read it.

Disclaimer of warranties

This website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that the site will be secure, uninterrupted, or free of errors, viruses or other harmful components. Benchmarks quoted in our articles and guides are commonly cited industry ranges. Performance figures shown for Oremote reflect our own experience and are representative rather than a promise of the results your practice will achieve.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oremote and its owners, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — this website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this website, on any theory of liability, is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. This section does not limit either party’s obligations under a signed services agreement or Business Associate Agreement, which have their own liability terms.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oremote and its owners, officers, employees and contractors from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of this website, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Oremote agree that the state and federal courts located in [County, State] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of this website, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction there. If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site and our services change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the site.
